My Dream, My Future

My vision for the future entails many goals that I know I will have to work hard to achieve. I feel that the path to accomplishing my goals will be though hard work within my education.

My formal education is a factor that has been the basis for my success throughout primary school and high school. I believe that it will continue to be the tool that will lead me to success in the future. My first and foremost plan is to graduate from high school. I consider this to be a huge accomplishment considering that many people don't make it that far. After graduation I will be attending one of five Colleges and Universities to which I am still waiting for a reply from.

I will attend my chosen school for the following four years. During that time I will obtain the knowledge that I will need for my future career. I hope to graduate after those four years with a bachelor's degree in business. My dream job is to become a buyer for major clothing lines. I have been interested in the fashion industry my whole life and I love to go shopping and pick out clothes.

I feel that the combination of all of the opportunity in the business world, along with my interest in fashion will be the winning formula for my success. Along with using my education as a key to open the doors of success and working hard, am positive that will be able to achieve my goals.

Change: It Starts with Me

Many people make a career out of having the same insights over and over again but not really acting on them. Once you have emotional clarity, you are responsible for taking action. Following your heart is a two-part process. Part one is getting the insight or intelligence. Part two is anchoring and doing." We all are stuck on some change that we want to make. Whether it's as "small" as quitting a junk food habit or as "big" as finding meaning in our life.
Most of us have had  the experience of  wanting to obtain a desired result and seeing it slip repeatedly through our fingers. The most frustrating part of change is watching good intentions fade away and old habits win the day.
As you start making changes, you are probably filled with enthusiasm for the promise of changes to come. You are convinced that this time will be different. You WILL follow through on the changes you want to make. You will have a healthier lifestyle. You will save money. You will find the one. You will lose weight. You will….Change is a process. It has stages and phases to it. If you understand the change process, you can do things that are more likely to get you where you want to go.

Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival

The yearly Kannawidan Ylocos Festival of Ilocos Sur showcases the spirit of the Ilocano Child.

Watching the children from the mountainous towns of Ilocos Sur perform their ‘tribal rites’ and dances in their tribal costume called “baag” (a woven cloth worn over their undies), on bare foot under the midday sun strips me of vanity and pride. And propels me to that place where everything is pure, simple and honest. This festival, celebrated on January 29 to February 5, also highlights Ilocos food, arts, trade, crafts, and products. Witnessing all this makes one realize the beauty and dignity of Ilocos culture and people. We should be proud of our Ilocano culture. Like the beauty of the Bayanihan Dance Company show which proudly featured the Filipino culture in songs and dances, the tribal rituals and dances of the province summarizes what Kannawidan Festival is all about.

The festival not only brings us takes one back to the roots; it also enables one to look into the future through art created by children. Their art speaks of their belief in the beauty of the world as gift from the Creator. Their songs and dances outshine any sadness  this present world has thrown at them.

New Year, New Me

New Year has passed and many people want to change their lives. They make a promise for their  selves and that is new year's resolution.
A New Year's Resolution is a commitment that a person makes to one or more personal goals, projects, or the reforming of a habit. A key element to a New Year's Resolution that sets it apart from other resolution is that it is made in anticipation of the New Year and new beginnings. People committing themselves to a New Year's resolution generally plan to do so for the whole following year. This lifestyle change is generally interpreted as advantageous.

Keeping in Mind Our Mother Tounge

Every different places has different languages. Using our own dialect is more important than using foreign languages. Using it means that we are proud on what we are and who we are.
Keeping in mind our own dialect and using it wherever we are help us to speak easy to everyone and to communicate with them. This is our  identity.Language is our means of communication and learning. Without good language we would be unable to express our thoughts and ideas, and we would not be able to learn.Language is important because it is what we use to communicate. It is important to be proficient in, at least, our own language, especially when it comes to education and work
Using our own dialects and languages is more efficient because we can speak easily and fluently.

Essence of Christmas

Christmas is the time when our Lord was born. We celebrate Christmas to give honor to our Lord.
Christmas is the time of giving and sharing gifts to our friends, love one, relatives, our dear parents and also to our enemies. this is also the time of forgiving our enemies and those who make us feel bad. In Christmas we can see people going house to house for caroling, We can also see beautiful lights and Christmas lights on street and to houses. We decorate many different Christmas decors to our home and we prepare foods for noche buena.
We only celebrate Christmas once in a year so we enjoy it and feel the essence of Christmas with our family, friends and love once.
